ATC Voice is an air traffic control game that offers a fast-paced and highly realistic experience. Designed specifically for the iPad, this game will put your wits, spatial reasoning, and planning skills to the test as you safely guide planes to their destinations, ensuring they navigate around each other seamlessly.
What sets ATC Voice apart is its commitment to providing an immersive and true-to-life gameplay. The game features stunning retina-optimized graphics, an expanded array of levels and sectors, arrival and departure routing, holding patterns, and even a Voice Control option that utilizes modern voice recognition technology.
As the player, your role is to command planes using either voice commands or touch commands. You will have to clear arriving planes for approach at the correct airports, safely climb departing planes, and quickly hand them off to the next controller. The game presents more than 100 levels, ranging from easy to challenging, ensuring that players of all skill levels will find enjoyment and engagement.
In order to maintain a realistic experience, ATC Voice simulates factors such as altitude control (keeping planes at least 1000ft apart vertically and 3nm horizontally), collision avoidance, terrain management, changing wind and runway conditions, as well as emergencies and surprises. You can even speed up the simulation to 30x real-time speed for a more dynamic gameplay experience.
The game also boasts flexible voice recognition capabilities that accept alternate phrasing of commands and plane idents. Additionally, you have the option to listen to aircraft read back instructions for verification or turn off plane speech for faster gameplay. The ability to assign headings or command planes to fly direct to navigation fixes is also included.
In addition to its extensive features and gameplay options, ATC Voice allows you to personalize the experience. You can choose the simulation environment and game victory conditions in Quick Play mode, sign in to Game Center to earn Achievements and see your rank on Leaderboards, and even use the Level Editor to create your own scenarios or modify quick play generated levels.
The game runs smoothly on all iPad models with iOS 8.0 or higher, and offline functionality is available, meaning you can enjoy it without an internet connection. While the game does offer in-app purchases for additional sectors beyond the three included ones, these expansions only add to the experience by including more levels and airports.
